270+ Families in Harekala Village to Receive Homes: A Major Step Towards Inclusive Development

Speaking on the occasion, Speaker UT Khader said that the government is working towards upliftment of the marginalised sections of the society and providing them a stable living condition.

Housing shortage has been a major issue in Harekala village, where several families were left without a permanent house. Each approved family will be allotted a three-cent plot (1, 306. 8 square feet) free of cost. The verification process will ensure that no two families are allotted the same number of sites.


A special feature of the project is the way the identified land in Malar village has been transformed. The land was originally hilly but has been levelled using earth movers to make it suitable for residential use. The layout plan envisages the provision of infrastructure so that the beneficiaries can stay there for a long time.
